My name is Jill K. Berry. I am an artist, teacher, mom, mapmaker, explorer and an all around curious person.
About seven years ago I started teaching a class called “Personal Geographies: Mapping Your Life” at universities and retreats around the country. What I learned from these classes is
1) Lots of people love maps
2) Maps are easy to make, even if you are not an artist
3) Making maps about your own life is a potent and exciting tool of self-discovery
A year ago I proposed the book idea, and in November 2011 it will be released.
