Today is a big day for me.
I have a tutorial on my other blog on making the papers for this project. I call them Geo Papers, and I make lots of different kinds because I love to paint paper and I love maps. Mappish paper is such a good thing. This style I call “Flying Over Kansas” because it looks like the endless blanket of farmland you see when flying over the middle of the U.S. There are more instructions for other styles of painted Geo Papers that you can download for free on CreateMixedMedia.com.
Ricë Freeman Zachary has posted an interview on Create Mixed Media, some questions that we did not have time for on my podcast with her.
Mary Nasser, a fellow map fanatic and mixed-media map artist, has a review of my book and some of my work on her blog. Here is one of her pieces. I think it is grand!
Kass Hall, a zentangle expert, one of three in Australia, (will have a book out next year) has a review of the book on her blog. Here is one of her zentangle pieces, which is also a beautiful map of sorts.
Happy Friday! Go on out there and have some great adventures….

Listen to Me!
So wonderful to have coordinating blog posts today with you and Kass!
Your Geo Papers tutorial is fabulous…can’t wait to try it!
It was such a privilege and pleasure to review Personal Geographies.
Loved reading it cover to cover last weekend!
All the best,
Mary
