This is my new blog, a space for all of us to put maps, stories and all things having to do with making maps of our lives.
My book started shipping this week.
Here is the link
It is written in three sections.
1) Maps of the Self
2) Maps of Your Experience
3) Plans, Projections and Possiblities
There are 5-6 projects and even more variations in each section. Each project also introduces a two or three dimensional technique. Some of them are:
Painting on Black Paper
Carving Copper
Book Making
Illustrations the easy way
Transferring Drawings
Stamp Carving
Poichor Stenciling
There is much more to come.
My hope is that  this blog will be a resource full of links of clip art, mapmaking information and history, and photos of the work you all do inspired by the book.

Hi Jill,
Awesome book! I received my copy yesterday and devoured it! I’ve always loved maps and I am now mapping my memories of where I grew up. Such fun and your book is such inspiration. Congratulations!
Thank you Susan! I am so glad you like it. Please send me anything you would like to post here, I would love it! I am setting up some Flickr sites for the maps people make.
Jill- It was an honor to be included in your book. I look forward to seeing it! Your blog is a nice continuation of the interactive process you’ve followed all through the building of the book. And that pouchoir =with-strips-of-blue-painter’s-tape is a cool process!
Hi Gwen, I am glad to have you here.Yes, I think we arty cartophiles have a lot to say and this is the place to say it!
