The book blog hop has ended, there are 11 winners and if you participated, please check out the blogs you visited to see if you won! Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you for the 1204 Comments posted on the blogs during this time! I read them all, and wish I could publish them all here, they were so full of enthusiasm and stories. It was wonderful to see that there are so many map lovers among us.
On a new note, I am teaching two classes having to do with maps at Artfest in Port Townsend Washington March 28-April 1, 2012. Spontaneous Deconstructed Storybook is a symbolic map of sorts stitched into a book with a wooden spine. I have taught this a number of times, and each time is a wonder, watching the magic happen.
Cartographic Reliquary is one of the projects in the book. It is a fun box of surprises, holding something important to you.
Both classes have room, I have tons of supplies so if you show up with next to nothing, no worries! I will bring lots of extra postcards, paints, anything you need for either class. And you do not need any painting or binding experience to do these, all of the parts are presented to you in a kit.
One last favor. If you have the book and would like to help promote it, one great way to do that is to leave a review on Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
Happy Season, happy journey!
